independent family business focused on manufacturing,
engineering, and design. Established in 1971, we ensure
a personal and professional service with a seamless
partnership. Certified to ISO 9001:2000 QA management
systems (See Quality Control), KCL endeavours to produce
products of quality and added value.
As respected converters of industrial and technical
foam, we have always been committed to using the latest
technologies and materials in order to get the best
out of an incredibly versatile product. Thanks to our
strong engineering background, we positively welcome
new ideas for manipulating any of the foams, rubbers
and plastics we process. Today we are a medium-sized
converter operating from a purpose-built factory in
Edenbridge, Kent approx. 35 minute’s drive from
Gatwick airport and 1 ¼ hrs from the City of
London. Export sales account for approximately 15% of
turnover.

Systems, QinetiQ, Chemring Group, Rolls Royce, BE Aerospace,

Kewell Converters has grown out of a willingness to
innovate. The company began 30 years ago when we pioneered
a technique for manufacturing polyethylene cord that
became a success. Since then, we have developed other
production techniques in close partnership with leading
foam suppliers.
Our skilled team maintain a wide range of high-tech
plant for routing, milling, die-stamping, splitting,
slitting, cutting, compression moulding, vacuum moulding,
laminating, welding, tubing, adhesive-backing, sealing,
strip cutting and water-jet cutting in house.
All items are generally manufactured onsite from our
factory near London Gatwick Airport, England and delivered
both nationally & worldwide. Niche applications
and markets include: Healthcare, Aerospace, Military,
Oil & Chemical, Automotive and Semi-Conductors (Electronics).
