Kewell Converters Ltd (KCL) is an independent family business focused on manufacturing, engineering, and design. Established in 1971 from a garage, we are now an approx. £2.5 million (GBP) turnover business with almost 30 staff to ensure a personal and professional service with a seamless partnership in an modern production facility of 33,000 sqft (3065 sqm). Certified to ISO 9001:2015 QA management systems KCL endeavours to produce products of quality and added value. Kewell Converters has grown out of a willingness to innovate and provide specialist foam solutions. The company began 50 years ago when we pioneered a technique for manufacturing polyethylene cord that became a success. Since then, we have developed other production techniques in close partnership with leading foam suppliers.
As respected converters of industrial and technical foam, we have always been committed to using the latest technologies and materials in order to get the best out of an incredibly versatile product. Thanks to our strong engineering background, we positively welcome new ideas for manipulating any of the foams, rubbers and plastics we process. Today we are a medium-sized converter operating from a purpose-built factory in Edenbridge, Kent approx. 30 minutes’ drive from Gatwick airport and 1.5 hrs from the City of London. Export sales account for approximately 20% of turnover.
