Kewell Converters Ltd. delivers foam solutions into many aspects of the construction and building market. The primary reason for this is the thermal insulation and sealing properties of the foam married with the capability to shape and form them precisely and deliver them on time to site to fit in with modern construction methodology. Increasingly the low mass and longevity of foams leads them to being specified as for instance eaves fillers by architects and other construction professionals.
Expansion jointing material is now very commonly specified as a cross linked, closed cell EVA foam. This is due to its resistance to chemicals such as petroleum products and frost inhibitors. Foams such as EVAZOTE are able to eliminate possible extrusion of the jointing threatened by the thermal contraction of expansion joints.
The performance of EVAZOTE under repeated compression make it a perfect material for specification in sports flooring insulation and jointing. Other foams are employed as a core substance in a wide range of composite panels for flooring and temporary structures or emergency flood defences.
For ultra-high specification construction projects ZOTEK F may be specified due to its flammability and UV radiation resistance properties. Kewell's can both advise as an independent on the ideal material and help deliver the most cost effective raw material to site process for your construction project.

AZOTE Polyolefin foams
Known for their light weight, durability, thermal insulation and sealant properties, AZOTE foams are used extensively in building and construction applications - for instance, to fill eaves.
Where expansion jointing material is required EVAZOTE closed-cell, cross-linked EVA foam is a perfect choice. Its range of elasticity is 60% compression, 120% shear and 30% tension. Rather than extrude material under compression when an expansion joint undergoes a thermal contraction, EVAfoam closes in on itself.
In addition, it is not affected by petroleum products like diesel, petrol, grease and oil or by road salts. Stones and debris absorbed by traditional strip seals are repelled by EVAfoam.
Sports floors, especially, require a degree of elasticity to lessen jarring of athletes' limbs and joints upon impact. This crucial 'give' is amply provided by supporting the floor with EVAZOTE, which combines excellent long-term resistance and durability with required compression stress capabilities. It has proved ideal for this and similar applications.
Temporary water defences, composite panel flooring and other structures benefit from the use of AZOTE foams in their manufacture, chosen for its light weight, impact absorbency and durable properties.
ZOTEK high performance foams
ZOTEKF is not only unaffected by UV radiation but also meets the most stringent flammability requirements, making it an ideal material for use in ultra-high specification construction and building projects.
