We are known to be UK’s leading specialist foam fabricator and foam converter, using a range of closed-cell polyolefin foam materials produced by Croydon-based company, Zotefoams PLC.
All the foams in the Azote ® range are renowned for their light weight, the consistency of their cell size and structure, the purity of their composition and their outstanding isotropic physical performance.
Within the Azote family there are three variants, each with slightly different characteristics and applications.
Plastazote® Foam = Closed-cell, cross-linked, low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or blends of foams. Plastazote is produced in a number of polymer combinations to differentiate required stiffness, temperature resistance and ease of shaping, depending on client specification. There is a range of densities (15kg/ m³ - 115kg/ m³) and some grades are available in different colours. A metallocene base will give extra durability, and various grades are produced which are flame retardant, or with conductive or static dissipative properties to suit specific applications.
Plastazote is used across many industries (construction, aerospace, electronics, automotive, marine, military, sports and healthcare, for example) for a wide variety of functions.
Evazote® Foam = Closed-cell, cross-linked, ethylene-vinyl acetate(EVA) copolymers foam. The EVA copolymer foam, Evazote, is tougher and more durable than Plastazote foams, with densities ranging from 25kg/ m³ - 80 kg/ m³. It is produced in a range of colours and conductive grades. As for application, it is particularly suitable for use in sports, leisure and footwear industries, with its light weight and high impact absorption properties which minimise jarring for athletes and other users. It is highly sought after in the construction industry too, ideal for expansion joints thanks to its excellent durability, sealant and chemical resistant properties.
Supazote® Foam = Closed-cell, cross-linked ethyl methyl acrylate (EMA) copolymer11 foams. Supazote is the softest foam in the Azote range. It is available in black or white and is often used in conjunction with a stiffer foam - the Supazote for comfort and low irritation next to the skin or to protect fragile components, other foam to provide rigidity. It is ideal for sports and leisure equipment and for medical and healthcare applications.
