Protective Packaging
Our manufacturer partners supply us with highly absorbent foams which make the perfect materials for specifying in protective packaging. They weigh very little, are not volatile, are stable and won’t fade in sunlight, in addition they are flexible and able to protect against impact or abrasion. Their inertia means they will inhibit corrosion and won’t cause other discolouring or staining. Our foams are often chosen for the archival or safe keeping of works of art and other antiquities.
Using our experience and systems under licence from manufacturer partners we can specify grades of foam for consideration for an application from information such as “likely drop (cm)” “mass” and “fragility”
The regular cell size of AZOTE and ZOTEK foams makes them highly energy absorbent... ideal materials for protective packaging. They are inert, lightweight, UV stable, flexible, tough and resilient and exhibit outstanding resistance to chemicals and water. They are highly pure, will not cause corrosion or staining and are safe to use for the transit and archival storage of antiquities and works of art.
Zotefoams also provides a comprehensive PC based ‘cushion packaging programme’. Entering basic details of ‘drop height’, ‘fragility’, and ‘weight’ will simultaneously produce foam thickness and area requirements of the PLASTAZOTE foam grades for evaluation.
Returnable Transit Packaging
Our foams our able to make a significant contribution to the reduction of waste in packaging. Because they deliver a genuine multi –use and trip solution in packaging for transit. This is true both in insert and dunnage applications of the foam. Furthermore the foams impact absorption properties mean that less thickness of foam is required for the same level of protection. Which in turn means less storage space is necessary and haulage is more fuel efficient as the space is better used.
AZOTE foams play an important role in the global endeavour to reduce packaging waste, by providing a true multi-trip solution for transit packaging, both as case inserts and dunnage. The high energy absorbent nature of AZOTE foams means that less thickness is needed for protection... smaller packs means less storage space requirement and better transport volume utilisation.
